Postcard: Mutton Cove, NZ

It may be treasonous for a powder hound to wish for sun in the middle of a powderiffic winter, but I figure it can never hurt to look at a deserted-beach photo in February. This was taken during a three-day kayak trip through the gorgeous wonderland that is Abel Tasman National Park on New Zealand’s south island. The beauty of multi-day kayak trips, as opposed to, say, backpacking in summer, is you can bring as much wine and chocolate as you want. Someday I hope to return to Mutton Cove.
