Postcard: Searle Pass, CO

What is it about being high in the mountains with no one else around that gives us such an invigorated feeling? Who knows. It doesn’t matter why we feel it, only that we do. This photo was taken last week; I shadowed longtime hutmaster Mike Zobbe to Janet’s Cabin at 11,600 feet to learn the ways of the structure and prep for an upcoming shift … and to make a few turns before returning to the land where cell phones work. 1. Even though I am not a woman, I do hang around with a lot of them. SO…I think that women hate the fact that guys often ”pretend” to love them.My girl mates say they hate a lot of guys who don’t look after themselves.Lets face it, smelly unshaven guys are not going to be &###1;op&1117;&2108;ar! ;D
