Big Sky Brewing, The Moose KMMS radio, Outside Bozeman, and The Friends of the Gallatin Avalanche Center are excited to announce the 4th annual Pray for Snow Party and fundraiser, Friday, November 6th at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman from 6pm-11pm.
2009 International Mountain Summit - South Tyrol
The IMS is an international platform of information, communication and presentations dedicated to everything about mountains and alpine sports - and of course a real hot spot for mountain fans: Along with mountaineering legends like Reinhold Messner, a number of young talents will attend the summit meeting from November 3-8 in the Italian town of Bressanone/Brixen (South Tyrol). Many more top mountaineers like Stefan Glowacz have recently confirmed their presence at the IMS.

8th Annual HERA Climb4Life Utah Raises Over $80,000 for Ovarian Cancer Research
Rock climbing has never felt so empowering, or at least that was the sentiment expressed by everyone participating in the 8th annual HERA Climb4Life Utah, held Sept. 17-20 in Salt Lake City. Over $80,000 was raised by participants and volunteers, which will support the HERA (Health, Empowerment, Research, Awareness) Women’s Cancer Foundation’s ovarian cancer research and awareness initiatives.

North Conway native Carl Swenson, a nordic ski Olympian, made it a memorable first ever Kismet Cliff Run as the winner of what more than one competitor commented is destined to become a classic race in northern New England. For the fifty Kismet Cliff Run participants, Sunday, September 20th was a perfect early fall day in the White Mountains of New Hampshire.

Event, silent auction to benefit Teton Boulder Project - Organizers of the Teton Boulder Project (TBP) announced today that they will kick off the project’s fundraising drive for a bouldering park in downtown Jackson with an event featuring three of North America’s greatest alpinists. "American Alpine: An Evening with Climbing Legends Jack Tackle, Conrad Anker and Steve House" will be held at the Center for the Arts on Saturday, September 26, at 7 p.m.

First Ever Time Trial of Leadville's Mineral Trail
The 2nd annual "Blaze the Belt" was held in Leadville on September 13th, 2009, in the true essence of Colorado weather. It rained, it snowed, and the sun shown down on over 30 contestants in perhaps the "highest" down hill race to hit North America. The course twists through the Frisbee Golf Course of Leadville for about 6.5 miles down the Mineral Belt Bike Path.
Kismet Cliff Run - Echo Lake State Park, NH
The first annual Kismet Cliff Run will be held on Sunday, September 20th, at 10:00 a.m., in Echo Lake State Park, New Hampshire. The challenging, five-mile loop travels up and over Cathedral and Whitehorse Ledges before finishing at the shore of Echo Lake. The course features memorable uphills, technical downhills and fantastic scenery.
